FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

The Hero Foundry would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who made FCBD 2006 a success. Both Richard at Zeus (who sponsored CAPE!) and Jeremy at Titan Comics provided The Hero Foundry with free space that enabled us to meet people and promote our message. While at these shows we were able to collect ten sketches in our Convention Season Sketchbook. Bryan Hitch, Scott Kurtz, Brian Denham, Ben Dunn, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Tony Bedard, Marc Andreyko, James Kochalka, JE Smith and Steve Galgas all freely provided sketches in our sketchbook (pictures of which can be found here). Gail Simone even gave us a quote about the nature of heroism. We would like to thank all of them for their generous contribution. This book will be filled all throughout the year and auctioned off in December help put comic books in the hands of kids. Finally we would like to thank everyone that stopped by our booth and either took a moment to listen to us and take a flyer or dropped a few dollars in a jar. Your time and money will help greatly in providing comic books to libraries, schools and hospitals that cannot afford them on their own. Our work is far from over, but Free Comic Book Day was a great start.
