What is the best way to help The Hero Foundry?

The best way to help The Hero Foundry right now is through monetary donations. We graciously accept checks or money orders by mail, as well as donations made online using PayPal.

Donated funds are used to purchase the graphic novels, trade paperbacks, and comic book subscriptions that go into our endowments.

Can I donate comics, trade paperbacks or graphic novels?

We do accept trade paperbacks and graphic novels but ask that you limit them to all age’s items and email us at first before shipping them to make sure we can use them and currently have a place for them.

The Hero Foundry would love to take new or gently used comic book donations but at this time we do not have the staff or space to store large quantities. We ask that you email us at first before shipping them to make sure we can use them and currently have a place for them.

Does The Hero Foundry pay for and help coordinate shipping?

The Hero Foundry regrets that at this time we do not have the budget or staff to coordinate or pay for shipping.

I am an artist and want to donate art?

The Hero Foundry would appreciate any comic book or related arwork as we do use them in drawings we have at conventions and plan on having charity auctions also to raise funds.

We also can always use artists who are willing to donate time and talent to creating special designs and works for The Foundry.

Can I volunteer my time?

The Hero Foundry needs trustworthy volunteers to help run booths at conventions, volunteers who have charity experience especially in applying to grants, fundraising, professionals with specialized knowledge and skills such as accountants and familiar with the laws surrounding non profits, computer techs and layout and design artists and of course artists, writers, comic shop owners and others who are involved in the comic book industry and are willing to help out.

What are other ways I can help out?

If you own an art gallery have a weekend art show of comic centric art show to benefit The Hero Foundry or if you own a movie theater having a special showing of a superhero movie with the proceeds donated to The Hero Foundry.

You can help by putting up our posters and flyers, see our resources page, or putting out a donation jar in your comic shop, book store, library, school, or wherever else a business or institution is willing to help and then donating the funds raised to The Hero Foundry.

Organize a fundraiser at you local library, school, bookstore, comic shop, or town to raise funds by selling used comics, a bake sale, costume party, junk sale, or any other fundraisers.
